Video 1:Tweaks-Sisters
Features
Use Of Camera:
The camera shots and angles are far from normal but this matches with the actions carried out from the boy which helps connect the footage with the music. The weird placed angles of the camera help make the video more interesting to watch.
Use Of Editing:
Use Of Editing:
The editing has clearly been cut within some of the beats and sounds which also helps connect the footage with the music. The rushed but smooth violent actions from the boy is matched with the slow part of the songs which surprisingly works well together considering the different emotions and atmosphere shown.
Use Of Mise-En-Scene:
The mise-en-scene is really important in this music video as it helps capture the darkness in the situation shown in the video. All scene locations have a dull and eerie vibe that gives the video itself a uncomfortable atmosphere and helps give the video some character. The celo-tape that the boy forcefully wraps around his face clearly represents his emotions and how he feels suffocated and trapped in a miserable life while the music enhances his sadness.Use Of Mise-En-Scene:
Video 2:Elliot Moss-Pattern Repeating
Features
Use Of Camera:
Fade in and fade out are frequently used though-out this music video which matches with the musics beats while also creating a magical feeling. The long shots mixed with close ups help show the audience the fine details even though it does not match with the lyrics, which is strange but helps give the video a different appearance then most music videos. Although, there is some parts of the lyrics such as 'switch me off', 'wake me up' and 'shut me down' that link with the emotions of the characters wanting to be freed form what seems to be a nightmare that repeats itself which also links with the song title 'Pattern Repeating'.
Use Of Editing:
Use Of Editing:
The more fast and packed actions within the footage are shown and cut together when the song because more upbeat than usual, this helps link the video to the song in a creative and intriguing way.
Use Of Mise-En-Scene:
Use Of Mise-En-Scene:
The vibrant colours of the buildings and props used matches the peoples skin colour and clothes, however even though the characters are silent its clear that they are all struggling and trapped in a colourful (damaged) world that doesn't match their emotions. The mise-en-scene strangely matches with the atmosphere from the song as well as creating a futuristic feeling within the video.
Video 3:Andy Shauf-The Magician
Features
Use Of Camera:
There is not much shots and angles shown as the camera stays still while the images are being moved. However there is shots such as long shots, mid shots and close ups but they are not from the camera but cleverly from the positioning of the photographs and objects.

Use Of Editing:
It is hard to tell what editing techniques was used in this video because it looks like it was a video captures in one take with loads of images and helping hands moving and connecting each image together while matching with the timing of each beat of the song.
Use Of Mise-En-Scene:
Use Of Mise-En-Scene:
The whole video consist of moving, still and overlapping weird and vintage images that reveal the singers face. Not only does this give the video a strange aesthetics, all of the objects and images match together while matching the music's beats and the volume.
All Features
In all three music videos, fade in, fade out and slow and smoothed tracking/movement are the most used camera movements. The use of movements create a strange and uncomfortable atmosphere within each music video that helps insure that the actions in the video are seen to be uniquely weird and crazy. Each music video has a moment when the actions, movement etc creatively match's with the music's beats/ tone. The editing helps with this and each editing technique shown is simple but effective which shows that simpler ways can still create a strong atmosphere and aesthetics.
The first two music videos I have looked at are set in remote , abandoned places that help match the mise-en-scene with the lyrics, beats and actions, even though the locations are set in boring places there is still vibrant colours being shown. The last music video has not been set in a specific location but the mise-en-scene includes a range of bright colours of objects, clothes and nature that connects with the songs upbeat atmosphere. The objects move with each different beat within the song which makes the video connect with the song while also making the video interesting to watch.
There is a clear understanding that alternative songs and music videos include strange and unique situations within the videos that don't match the song but in away do match with the objects used, the actions shown or the beats connecting with the footage.
